Exploring Chikmagalur - Part - 3

When we start to ascending the peak start to drizzling just stopped to put jackets and continued, due to mist visibility was poor after passing few kilometers of stretch road condition start to poor after the view point it gone worst..

Last 11km it's horrible, there were very very less traffic in this rout we find a few local motorcycle riders and some of cars only.The road goes between dens Bhadra forest area.

Around 6 PM reached Kemmangundi check post point the guard to there were no room available at Guest house. No problem we were prepared for that, just asked direction to Birur and continued our journey.







After crossing just 2km from Kemmangunddi superb concrete road welcomed us, Thank god... God listened our prayers.

 Around 7:30 PM reached Birur and took brake for the day. After freshening up took lunch and gone to sleep.....

Day Two 09/09/2013

Wake up at sharp 0430 and freshened up, at 0530 checked out the lodged warmed up our bike and headed towards Shravanabelagola Via Banavara, Arsinakere, Rain starts to drizzling.

At Arsikere stopped for breakfast as soon as Vada and Hot Bisibele bath went inside cold ran away from us rain was also stopped.

Shravanabelagola

Around 0945 hrs reached Shravanabelagola, parked our motorcycles and started to climb the Vindhyagiri. The statue of Gommateshwara is one of the most important Pilgrimage in Jainism.





Most of the Tourists who visits Shravanabelagola are from North Indian Marwari's who believes in Jainism.

From Shravanabelagola our plan was visit Hassan to collect some spare parts of Ravi's CT100 from his friends and way back to home via Siradi Ghat section, on the way took lunch at Hassan, some section of the Ghat road due to heavy monsoon, we manage to reach Puttur by 6 P.M and took a tea brake and reached home by 7:30. Total distance covered in this Trip 630Kms.
