Here we met a person who was fishing in the water, he uses a small cola bottle instead of fishing rod and uses "Kara boondi" (A spicy food) instead of earthworm, what an innovative idea.

After taking some snaps headed towards Shivanasamudra Waterfalls,  around 0900hrs reached the entrance of the waterfalls, entry fee is Rs.10 per two wheeler. While we reach the entrance vehicles were already lined up. Once entered inside the gate one has to travel 1km inside the compound to reach waterfalls. First we climbed the watch tower near the falls. After clicking some snaps went to the Waterfalls sight.

Due to rainy season waterfalls base gate was closed, one can enjoy only the scenic beauty of the waterfall and cannot get down to the falls. After spending an hour over there took a glass of sugarcane juice and headed toward our next destination i.e B R Hills.

Kollegal Kunagalli Road (En route to B R Hills)

It was around 1030hrs to reach B R Hills we have to go back to Kollegal town and from there there are two routes one is via Yelandur route it was 9km longer route but road due to main road it was good in shape. We intentionally avoid that route and took Kunnagalli route which goes between  superb scenery and some of extra ordinary villages. I called it extraordinary because I have never look such a village in earlier and these peoples are very very friendly, small houses, their life styles are really breeze to eyes.

As soon as I reached Ashwith escaped from there due to the smell. While talking to the caretaker  about i,t he told that he is drying the silkworms and packed and sent to West Bengal there it was processed and  used as a  fish food. On the way got one more such a shed.

Lake on the way to K Gudi

From B R Hills junction we didn't stopped any where still K Gudi, it was very thick forest, road is also narrow and bad in some stretches. At last around 1500hrs reached forest office of K Gudi, while enquiring about the safari they told all tickets were sold out. They have only 3 Jeeps and there is no chance to get safari tickets. So we spent half an hour over there and returned back to Kollegal.

Village Road
On the way we have stopped in a small tea shop in one of the village, while interacting with the villagers we got many things, In this village nobody is bother about higher education and after high school  almost of all youngsters are busy with their farming. Here they grows Paddy, Sugarcane, Vegetable and lentils. A young men who goes to farm work will earn Rs.180 per day and women can get Rs.90 per day. Its very cheap compared to our area where these peoples are charging Rs. 500 to 700 per day.
Returning Home

When we reach near the Silkworm drying shed bad smell hit to start but now nobody was there only few dogs and  falcons were busy with eating the waste. When we reached near the Kollegal rain started slowly and around 1830hrs reached Kollegal and took the brake for the day.

Bullock Carts carrying Sand on Kollegala Mysore Road

Early morning
15th August 2016

Whole India was busy with Celebrating 70th Independence day we wake up at early morning and vacated the room, it was around 0530hrs, as per our plan it was a simple return journey nothing special on the way, we had plenty of time so leisurely headed towards Mysore Via T Narasipura, one the way got some excellent morning snaps.

At T Narsipura Junction stopped for a cup of Tea and headed towards Mysore, when we reach near Megaravalli a small village on the way farmers were busy with their work so me and Karthik stopped to our bike to take some pictures.  After spending 20mintues we are again on the road. While crossing the streets of Megaravalli we saw Ashiwth was waiting for us in front of the Police station.

Reflection
We are also stopped there, the whole Police station was beautifully decorated it was ready for flag host, so we decided to participate and asked their permission. The Station Officer warmly welcomed us. First  a senior Policemen done Pooja titurals to Gandhiji's photo and flag after that Inspector hosted the flag. The rest of the troop headed by a Beautiful Lady ASI gave salute to the Flag.

Flag hosting at Megalapura Police Station

Pooja rituals before flag host
After the flag host chocolates were distributed, and they requested us to take breakfast before moving off. After 10 minutes hot Pulav, Kesaribath and Tea was supplied.  They took utmost care of us they told us that we are their guest of the day so we have to take food first. After taking food they wished a happy and safe journey to us.

Lady ASI

One thing I would like to mention here that it was a entirely different experience to me. Because one thing I observed that the whole village treated this functions as their own function, because a girl who is studying at the school just opposite to police station put Rangoli in front of the Flag and a group of villagers decorated the main gate by banana plants, and after the flag host chocolates were  distributed in the school and some of villagers are taking breakfast at Police station. The entire scene I have never seen anywhere. It was only possible if a good mutual understanding persist between Police force and villagers.

School opposite to Police Station

Around 1000hrs reached Mysore, traffic was low due to Independence day vacation so decided to proceed on the Mysore town instead of ring road. At around 1300hrs reached Madikeri and tool lunch and 1630hrs reached home.
